Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a high amount of lanolin for effective temperature regulation, resulting in soft and pleasant-feeling wool.
These Gabbeh, made by Iranian nomads who carefully hand-weave each strand of this natural-dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting outstanding durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And, above all, their artistry is remarkable. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.

Notes
Due to the handmade nature, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a distinctive odor from the dyes used for the wool may be present.
