The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, made by nomads in Iran who hand-weave each strand of this naturally dyed wool with great care, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing heat.
And above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, making each one a unique, original piece with no two alike.
