Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lifestyle of the Qashqai nomadic tribe, who handweave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in natural oils, allowing for efficient body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh rugs, handwoven by Iranian nomads, one strand at a time, from naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the unique characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh rugs, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with no two being alike; each is a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even displayed on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug that you can cherish for a long time?

Notes
Due to being handwoven, there may be slight irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of handweaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
