Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in oils, allows for effective temperature regulation.
Gabbeh, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their soft and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme daily temperature fluctuations, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, or dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed for shipping
The pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed and shipped upon request.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
