Characteristics of Persian hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the daily lives of the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are hand-woven using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, made by hand-dyeing this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weaving each strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, demonstrating their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.

Daily care
Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
This odor will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping
The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
