Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh rugs, made by nomads in Iran who dye this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weave each strand, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Firmly woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature fluctuations between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, providing a cool sensation.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel or similar. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape or pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
The pompoms located on the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pompoms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
