Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads, who weave them by hand in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using naturally dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oils to effectively regulate body temperature.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool.
The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
