Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs, deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads who hand-weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran using naturally dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-to-the-touch texture contains a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads with naturally dyed wool, one thread at a time, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from the extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the unique characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterwards, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated shade.
Points to Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dyes used on the wool.
The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Tassels can be removed before shipping.
The tassels attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the tassels does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
