Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-piled rugs woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and is rich in oil, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, skillfully regulating body temperature.
Gabbeh woven by Iranian nomads, meticulously dyed with natural dyes and hand-woven strand by strand, are characterized by their soft and fluffy feel.
A tightly woven Gabbeh is said to last for 100 years, boasting superior durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a sensation that doesn't feel hot.

Daily Care

Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Precautions

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern distortion, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing unevenness. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may occur.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Pom-poms can be removed upon shipment.

The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms does not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
