Features of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, handwoven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads who wander the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture contains a high amount of lanolin for effective thermoregulation.
Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads, meticulously hand-knotting each strand of this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing heat buildup.
And above all, there's its artistry. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with no two being exactly alike, making each one an original, unique item.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be hung on walls.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being handwoven, there may be slight irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of handweaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. As a result, there may be a distinctive odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
This odor will gradually fade with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed for shipping
The pom-poms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
