Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads who hand-weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture contains a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, hand-woven by Iranian nomads thread by thread after dyeing this wool with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are so durable they are said to last 100 years.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
