Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, grass-dyed wool rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture due to its high fat content, which helps regulate body temperature.
The Gabbeh, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven knot by knot by Iranian nomads, is characterized by its fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme day-night temperature differences, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And above all, there's its artistry. Gabbeh created from the nomads' imagination often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. As such, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can be removed upon request
The pom-poms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed and shipped upon request.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
