This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it takes more effort to weave, it's a "Luri-baft" Gabbeh, which means it's thinner and more tightly woven than regular Gabbehs.
Luri means "fine" in Persian, and baft means "weave."
Vintage Gabbehs are antique Gabbehs that have aged for a certain period since they were made, possessing a unique atmosphere and value.

Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, handwoven by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as soft, pleasant-to-the-touch fibers containing a lot of oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
These Gabbehs, made by Iranian nomads who meticulously hand-weave each strand of this natural-dyed wool, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbehs are said to last for 100 years, indicating their exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbehs also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And, above all, there is their artistry. Gabbehs created from the nomads' imagination often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique original, no two alike.
They can be laid on the floor or even displayed as art on a wall.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can enjoy for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being handwoven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of handwoven products.
Also, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping.

The pom-poms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
If you would like the pom-poms removed before shipping, please feel free to contact us via email or phone below.
