Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads of the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
The Gabbeh, woven piece by piece by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, is characterized by its fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting outstanding durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing heat retention.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung out towel or similar. Afterwards, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, then air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pompoms can also be removed for shipping
The pompoms located on the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
