Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in nomadic life, handwoven by the Qashqai tribe, who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, helps in temperature regulation.
Gabbeh, handwoven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being handwoven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a handwoven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
