Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who are nomads in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with high oil content to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh, hand-woven by Iranian nomads by meticulously knotting each strand of this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.
A tightly woven Gabbeh is said to last 100 years, demonstrating its superior durability.
Born from the climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are warm in winter and breathable in summer, offering a sensation of coolness.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a wet cloth to remove detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
