Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains in Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool. They are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture is rich in natural oils, allowing for effective temperature regulation.
The wool is dyed with natural dyes, and each Gabbeh is hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads, resulting in a plush and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.

Pompoms can be removed upon shipment

The pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipping.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
