Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Varied wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, hand-woven knot by knot by Iranian nomads using this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting superior durability.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive smell from the dye used for the wool.
The smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed upon request.
The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
