Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, everyday rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads of Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and is rich in natural oils, making it soft to the touch and adept at regulating body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, woven with this wool dyed with natural dyes by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, are characterized by their plush and pleasant texture.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Please Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. As such, there may be a unique scent from the dyes used on the wool.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Pom-poms can be removed upon request

The pom-poms on the corners or sides of the Gabbeh can be removed before shipping if you request it.
Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
