Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs dyed with natural plant dyes, made by the Qashqai tribe who nomadic in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature, resulting in soft and pleasant-to-the-touch hair.
Gabbeh, woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their soft and fluffy feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the dye used for the wool may occur.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can also be removed before shipping
The pom-poms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed and shipped upon request.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
