Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs made from vegetable-dyed wool, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, allows for effective temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads with wool dyed using natural dyes, are characterized by their plush and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with significant temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the unique characteristic of being warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing heat.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap of the rug.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, pattern, weave, and dye. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. As such, there may be a unique scent from the dye used on the wool.
While the scent will gradually dissipate with use, we ask for your understanding in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
The pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
