Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled, plant-dyed wool rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and a soft, pleasant texture with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh, woven piece by piece by Iranian nomads using wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung-out towel or similar. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
Please note that the odor will gradually dissipate with use.
Pom-poms can be removed for shipping
The pom-poms on the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
