This is a hand-woven wool Persian rug, made in Iran (Persia).
This hand-woven Persian rug is perfect for a single person's room or as an accent rug. At approximately 1 tatami mat in size, it's also recommended as a bedside rug. It's also ideal for placing in front of a single-seater sofa or a compact sofa.
Medallion Design
The main feature of the popular and traditional "Toranj" (medallion) design is a circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and ornaments spread around it, creating a beautiful design. Toranj rugs suit any room, and are especially recommended for placing in front of a living room sofa or in the center of a room.
Geometric Design
The Hendesi (geometric) design is an old design often seen in tribal rugs. This design incorporates symbols, each with a special meaning.

Characteristics of the Region (Shiraz)
Shiraz is a city in southwestern Iran, famous for its tribal rugs. Local tribes hand-weave rugs using traditional methods, and these works are sold in nearby bazaars after completion. The pile of these rugs is mainly made of wool, providing warmth and durability to the entire rug. The center of the rug typically features designs commonly seen in tribal rugs, such as medallions and geometric patterns. Generally, the red or brown fields incorporate diverse colors such as beige, yellow, blue, and green, giving the entire rug a rich color palette. Thus, Shiraz rugs are known for their warm designs and color schemes.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most excellent art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Since the design and materials used for rugs differ depending on the region of origin, there is a wide variety of rugs in Iran. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian tribes. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs have a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Wool)
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
If you spill drinks or other liquids, immediately absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as kitchen paper or tissue), then wipe with a damp cloth.
If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
