Gabbeh rugs are long-pile, hand-woven carpets made by the Qashqai nomads in Iran's Zagros Mountains, using vegetable-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a clean, damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

As these are hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Consequently, a distinct odor from the wool dyes may be present.
