Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs made from plant-dyed wool, handwoven by the Qashqai tribe who nomadize in Iran's Zagros Mountains, deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian Varied wool used in this product possesses excellent durability, necessary for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture rich in oils to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh, woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads using this naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are renowned for their durability, said to last for 100 years.
Originating from an environment with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh are also known for being warm in winter and breathable in summer, preventing feelings of heat.

Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with water to remove detergent and dry in a well-ventilated shade.
Important Notes
Due to being handwoven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a handwoven product.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may occur.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping
The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
