Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads who herd sheep in Iran's Zagros Mountains. They are hand-woven using naturally dyed wool. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its high oil content makes it soft and pleasant to the touch, effectively regulating body temperature.
These Gabbeh rugs, woven by Iranian nomads painstakingly by hand, thread by thread, using natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
A tightly woven Gabbeh is said to last 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature changes between day and night, Gabbeh rugs also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being an original, unique piece.
They can be laid on the floor, of course, but are also artistic enough to be hung on walls.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can cherish forever?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterwards, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
As these are hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven products.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
Pom-poms can be removed upon shipment

Removing the pom-poms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
