Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool as part of their daily lives. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product is derived from sheep that thrive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, possessing excellent durability and a soft, pleasant feel with a high oil content for effective body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh rugs, crafted by Iranian nomads meticulously hand-weaving each strand of naturally dyed wool, are characterized by their plush and delightful texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dye used on the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.

The pompoms located at the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
