This is a hand-woven wool and silk Persian rug, made in Iran (Persia).
It's a hand-woven Persian rug perfectly sized for a living room or in front of a sofa. At approximately 2 tatami mats in size, it's also easy to place under a dining table. Its nearly square shape makes it versatile for various room layouts and interior designs.

Toranj (Medallion) Pattern

The main feature of the popular and traditional Toranj pattern is a circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and decorations spread around it, creating a beautiful design. Toranj pattern rugs suit any room, and are especially recommended for placement in front of a living room sofa or as a central feature in a room.

Mahi Pattern

This is one of the most popular designs, to the extent that it's often the first pattern that comes to mind when thinking of Persian rugs. Originating in Khorasan, it is commonly seen in renowned rug-producing regions such as Tabriz and Bijar. "Mahi" means fish in Persian, and the design is called "Mahi pattern" because the patterns extending from the center resemble fish fins. Furthermore, within the Mahi pattern, flowers and plants are intricately depicted like fish scales. Also known as the Herati pattern, this design is very popular and easy to match with various room aesthetics.

Enjoy a comfortable lifestyle with a one-of-a-kind hand-woven Persian rug, featuring a unique design.

Characteristics of the Region (Tabriz)

Tabriz is a city in northwestern Iran and a very famous and popular rug-producing region. It boasts a rich variety of designs and colors, and was also the capital of Iran during the Safavid dynasty. The oldest Tabriz rugs date back to 1500, and exports overseas began around 1900. Tabriz has many highly talented rug weavers, and silk and cotton are often used as base materials for rugs. Wool and silk are mainly used for the pile, and the weaving is characterized by its extreme fineness. The designs are diverse, including beautiful medallion patterns, traditional Persian Mahi designs, Gonbadi patterns inspired by mosque ceilings, popular floral patterns, and even pictorial designs. The color palette is also rich, with pastel shades often seen in rugs made of wool and silk. Thus, Tabriz rugs are highly recommended for their rich variety of designs and colors.

What is a Persian Rug?

A Persian rug is a type of rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most exquisite works of art and craft representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug design and materials used across different regions, Iran offers a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian nomadic tribes. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.

Daily Care (Wool & Silk)

Remove dirt and dust by vacuuming or sweeping along the nap. If dirt is noticeable: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a cloth tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a wet cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Please Note

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, or dye variations. Please enjoy these as part of the unique charm of a hand-woven item.

The first one was a doormat, which I bought online. It was a really good product, so this time I came to the store looking for a Gabbeh large enough to place in front of my sofa. I received very polite service and found a favorite piece, which I immediately decided on. It really suits the atmosphere of my home, and I'm glad I bought it. Thank you very much.

I bought a Persian rug from an online shop for the first time.
I was a bit anxious about buying a Persian rug online because its appearance can change so much depending on the light, but the polite and thorough answers I received when I called to ask questions put me at ease and I went ahead with the purchase.
Although the actual rug was a little darker than expected, I'm delighted to have found such a wonderful item that met my expectations.
They also handled my request for a tapestry finish quickly and with great care, making for a very pleasant shopping experience.
The finish was also meticulously done and beautiful.
I would definitely like to use their services again.

This was my first purchase. I had been looking for a Gabbeh for my living room and had seen many in person, but I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. Then I found one on your website and it was love at first sight, so I bought it immediately. I was a little worried about buying something based solely on an image, but the actual product was just as wonderful as I imagined. The packaging was also very careful, and it even came with a letter! Thank you so much for the beautiful Persian tapestry as well. I've hung it in my entryway. I look forward to shopping with you again if the opportunity arises.
