Characteristics of the Origin (Qom)
Qom is a famous production area for silk rugs, to the point that when you think of silk rugs, Qom comes to mind. They produce the finest rugs in Iran. Qom is located in northern Iran. They use silk and very high-quality, soft wool. The designs are also very rich. Various colors are used skillfully, with pastel colors, soft colors, and ivory being particularly common. Most are artistic rugs that bear the signature of the workshop.
What are Persian Rugs?
Persian rugs are rugs woven in Iran. They have a long history and are famous for their beauty and durability, which allows them to be used for generations. They are one of the most outstanding art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used depending on the region of origin, there is a wide variety of rugs in Iran. From delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups, there is a broad spectrum. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color palettes of Persian rugs possess an unparalleled charm. By incorporating a unique Persian rug with its own distinct appeal into your room, you can enhance the atmosphere even further.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum any dust from the surface along the pile. If you spill liquids, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as paper towels or tissues). Then, place a dry towel on the underside of the rug, and using water and a neutral detergent, gently blot the area with a tightly wrung towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang the rug in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Important Notes
Because these rugs are hand-woven, there may be slight irregularities in shape, weaving, and dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven piece.
