What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is famous for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most outstanding artistic handicrafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug design and materials used depending on the production area, Iran has a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian tribes. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate color schemes of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By incorporating a Persian rug with its unique, one-of-a-kind charm into your room, you can further enhance its atmosphere.
Daily Care (Silk)
Vacuum the dust from the surface along the direction of the pile. If you spill a drink, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as a paper towel or tissue). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug and, using water and a neutral detergent, gently blot with a firmly wrung-out towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape, weaving, and dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
