Vacuum the dust from the surface along the direction of the pile. If you spill a drink, first absorb the moisture with an absorbent material (such as a paper towel or tissue). Then, place a dry towel on the back of the rug and, using water and a neutral detergent, gently blot with a firmly wrung-out towel. Finally, remove as much moisture as possible with an absorbent material and hang it in a well-ventilated area to dry.
