This is a hand-woven wool and silk Persian rug made in Iran (Persia).
This hand-woven Persian rug is perfect for placing in your living room or in front of your sofa. Its size of approximately 2 tatami mats makes it easy to place under a dining table or similar.
Toranj (Medallion) Pattern
The main characteristic of the popular and traditional Toranj pattern is a circular or oval design placed in the center of the rug. Symmetrical patterns and decorations spread around it, creating a beautiful design. Toranj pattern rugs suit any room, and are especially recommended for placing in front of a sofa in the living room or as a focal point in a room.
Mahi Pattern
This is one of the most popular designs, to the extent that it's often the first pattern that comes to mind when one thinks of Persian rugs. It is said to have originated in Khorasan and is frequently seen in famous rug-producing regions such as Tabriz and Bijar. "Mahi" means fish in Persian, and the design is called the Mahi pattern because the patterns extending from the center resemble fish fins. Furthermore, within the Mahi pattern, flowers and plants are intricately depicted like fish scales. This design, also known as the Herati pattern, is very popular and easy to match with any room.
Enjoy a comfortable lifestyle with a unique, one-of-a-kind hand-woven Persian rug, a design found nowhere else in the world.

Characteristics of the Production Area (Mood)
Mood is a city in eastern Iran, and its classic-designed rugs are very popular. These rugs are finely woven, very durable, and sturdy, allowing them to be used for a long time. They are also reasonably priced. Two popular designs commonly seen in Mood are the intricate traditional Mahi pattern and the panel pattern with a garden motif. The rugs are primarily made of wool, sometimes with silk. Dark red, brown, and earth tones are often used, making them very warm-toned rugs.
What is a Persian Rug?
A Persian rug is a rug woven in Iran. It has a long history and is known for its beauty and durability, lasting for generations. It is one of the most exquisite art crafts representing Iranian culture and art. Due to differences in rug designs and materials used by region, Iran boasts a wide variety of rugs. These range from delicate and intricate designs woven in workshops to simple, geometric tribal rugs woven by Iranian ethnic groups. The main materials used are wool and silk. The beautiful designs and delicate colors of Persian rugs possess a unique charm. By introducing a Persian rug with its unique charm, one of a kind in the world, you can further enhance the ambiance of your room.
Daily Care (Wool & Silk)
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile. If you are concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shady area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, uneven weaving, and uneven dyeing. Please enjoy these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
