This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our store, crafted by Mr. Javaheri, a renowned Iranian engraver. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also teaching at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the charm of the stones. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold, matching the shape of the stone.

This stone, originally mined in Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, which is where the name "turquoise" (meaning "Turkish") originated. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, known for its vivid, deep sky-blue color, often referred to as "the color of the spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as a royal family stone for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying qualities is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoise pieces from Arizona, USA, are imported into Japan, but Persian "Firuze (turquoise)" has become rare due to a drastic decrease in production in recent years, so it is not often introduced.
