This is a one-of-a-kind original design from our store by the renowned Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the reign of the Pahlavi King. While teaching at the Tehran University of Art, he produced our store's jewelry from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its beauty. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved in gold to match its shape.

This stone, originally found in ancient Persia (Iran), reached Europe via Turkey, which is how the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is known for its vibrant, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring skies," and is of the highest quality with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as an amulet for protection.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise of varying qualities is also produced in Australia, the United States, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, USA, are brought into Japan, but this natural Persian "Firuzeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its dwindling production and increasing rarity in recent years.
