This is a one-of-a-kind original design by our shop, crafted by the famous Iranian goldsmith Mr. Javaheri. Mr. Leather Javaheri was a goldsmith who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at Tehran University of Art, he created jewelry for our shop from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the individuality of each turquoise stone, further enhance the charm of the turquoise. The back of each turquoise stone is hand-engraved in gold to match the stone's shape.

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), traveled to Europe via Turkey, and the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is a vivid, deep sky blue, often called "the color of spring skies," and is a high-quality stone with high hardness. In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humankind as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished by the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best source, turquoise of varying quality is also found in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many turquoise stones from Arizona, USA, are brought to Japan, but this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing output in recent years, making it very valuable.
