This is a one-of-a-kind original design by the famous Iranian engraver, Mr. Javaheri, exclusively for our store. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While also lecturing at the Tehran University of Art, he produced jewelry for our store from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise stone, further enhance its allure. The back of each turquoise stone is individually engraved with gold, following the shape of the stone.

This stone, originally found in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, which is how the word "Turkish" became the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, displaying a vivid, deep sky blue color, often described as the "color of the spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it has long been cherished as a royal family stone, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality source, turquoise is also produced with varying qualities in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other regions. While much turquoise from Arizona, USA, is imported into Japan, the Persian "firoozeh" (turquoise) is rarely introduced due to its rarity and drastically reduced production in recent years.
