The turquoise used in this accessory is called Shajar, which means "tree with branches" in Persian, and has a natural matrix pattern where the turquoise and other stones are mixed. The branch-like spread of the stone's texture enhances the blue of the turquoise.
This is a classic design jewelry piece that elegantly portrays the charm of Persia. To match the shape of the turquoise, the reverse side also features careful and beautiful engraving.

This is an original, one-of-a-kind design from our shop, created by Mr. Javaheri, a famous Iranian engraver. Leather Javaheri was an engraver who worked as one of the royal family's jewelers during the Pahlavi dynasty. While lecturing at the University of Fine Arts in Tehran, he also created our jewelry from 1990 to 2007. The delicate designs, tailored to the unique characteristics of each turquoise, further enhance the stone's appeal. The back of each turquoise is individually engraved in gold, matching the shape of the stone.

Features of Natural Persian Firoozeh (Turquoise) Jewelry

This stone, mined in ancient Persia (Iran), was brought to Europe via Turkey, which is the origin of its name. Persian turquoise is of the highest quality with high hardness, boasting a vibrant, deep sky-blue color, often called "the color of spring sky." In fact, it was the first stone ever used by humanity as a protective amulet.

In Persia, it was cherished as the stone of the royal family for many years, and this Persian blue was also highly valued during the Victorian era.
Besides Iran, the best quality producing region, turquoise of varying qualities is also produced in Australia, America, China, Egypt, and other places. Many American Arizona turquoises are imported into Japan, but this Persian "Firoozeh (turquoise)" is rarely introduced due to its drastically decreasing output in recent years, making it very precious.

We recommend wiping it after each use to prevent daily dirt and grime from accumulating before storing it.

As natural stones are used, please be careful not to let perfume, sweat, or oily substances come into direct contact with them when worn. Although natural Iranian turquoise is highly hard and resistant to discoloration, there are rare cases where the color of the stone may change.
