Characteristics of the production area (Sirjan)

Sirjan is a city located in southern Iran, belonging to Kerman Province. Kilims woven in Sirjan are called "Suzani" or "Silky Pichy," and their production area is registered with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
Sirjan kilims are characterized by their extremely dense and sturdy weave. Because nomadic women weave them from imagination without a pattern, their delicacy and intricacy are astonishing. They are sumac weaves, with little pile on the surface, and often feature animal and geometric patterns.
Furthermore, Sirjan kilims often have deep colors, with cherry red, eggplant blue, saffron yellow, walnut leaf green, and walnut husk or tobacco brown dyes used. Due to these characteristics, Sirjan kilims are highly regarded worldwide and cherished as beautiful handicrafts.

What is a Kilim?

Persian hand-woven kilims are globally popular and are traditional hand-woven textiles that grow more beautiful with use. They are known by various names such as vintage kilim, old kilim, and antique kilim, depending on the era they were woven, and are loved by people of all ages. Most kilims are made of wool, but some kilims made with cotton or silk are also produced. They use natural materials. Since natural dyes are used for coloring, you can use them with peace of mind. These hand-woven kilims are durably woven and are based on the design styles of tribes and ethnic groups known as tribal rugs. They are characterized by geometric patterns with motifs of nature and animals, and each kilim has a unique design.
Various ethnic groups live in the vast land of Iran. The design and color characteristics differ depending on the production area, allowing you to enjoy a diverse range of design patterns.

Other uses for Kilims

Kilims are not only used as simple rugs or floor coverings but are also widely used as wall hangings and as decorative items for other furniture such as sofas, tables, and beds. Their unique designs and colors are distinctive, and they are often utilized as accents in a room. Kilims are not merely decorative items but are positioned as important elements that enrich the overall atmosphere of a room and highlight individuality. They add unique charm and warmth to the room's space. By utilizing kilims, you can achieve a life with art and comfort, and enjoy a life surrounded by things you love.

Kilims and Interior Design

The ways kilims can be used are very flexible, and they can be incorporated into various interior styles. In modern interiors, by introducing the unique patterns and colors of kilims into a simple space, they add an accent to the space. For natural and Scandinavian interiors, by placing wooden furniture and plants, or combining them with interiors using natural materials, the warmth and natural atmosphere of kilims can be enhanced. They also go well with a bohemian atmosphere; by laying them on the floor or hanging them on the wall, they enhance the overall atmosphere of the room. Kilims have an ethnic design and tribal atmosphere, and they pair well with interiors that incorporate cultural elements from Iran, Turkey, and Morocco. By arranging them as tapestries or cushions, they can add warmth and depth to the entire room.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom. If you are concerned about stains, dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, and gently wipe the surface with a well-wrung towel. Then, wipe thoroughly with a wet cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated shaded area.

Notes

Due to being hand-woven, there may be slight distortions in shape, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please enjoy these as part of the unique charm of hand-woven items.

The first one was a doormat, which I bought online. It was a really good product, so this time I came to the store looking for a Gabbeh large enough to place in front of my sofa. I received very polite service and found a favorite piece, which I immediately decided on. It really suits the atmosphere of my home, and I'm glad I bought it. Thank you very much.

I bought a Persian rug from an online shop for the first time.
I was a bit anxious about buying a Persian rug online because its appearance can change so much depending on the light, but the polite and thorough answers I received when I called to ask questions put me at ease and I went ahead with the purchase.
Although the actual rug was a little darker than expected, I'm delighted to have found such a wonderful item that met my expectations.
They also handled my request for a tapestry finish quickly and with great care, making for a very pleasant shopping experience.
The finish was also meticulously done and beautiful.
I would definitely like to use their services again.

This was my first purchase. I had been looking for a Gabbeh for my living room and had seen many in person, but I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. Then I found one on your website and it was love at first sight, so I bought it immediately. I was a little worried about buying something based solely on an image, but the actual product was just as wonderful as I imagined. The packaging was also very careful, and it even came with a letter! Thank you so much for the beautiful Persian tapestry as well. I've hung it in my entryway. I look forward to shopping with you again if the opportunity arises.
