Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, as well as a soft and pleasant texture rich in oils to effectively regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, made by dyeing this wool with natural dyes and meticulously hand-weaving each strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool and silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping.
The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before delivery.
Removing the pompoms does not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
