This is a Persian hand-woven Gabbeh rug, perfect for use as an entrance mat in slightly larger entryways, such as those in detached houses.
It will brighten up your entryway, a space you pass through every day.
Besides the entryway, its size makes it easy to place in empty spaces like by the bedside or in front of a single sofa.
It's soft, plush, and has a pleasant texture that can be enjoyed all year round.
As a one-of-a-kind hand-woven piece, please enjoy its unique design.
This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baf Gabbeh, which is thinner and more tightly woven than regular Gabbeh rugs.
"Luri" means "fine" and "baf" means "weave" in Persian.

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh Rugs
Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomadic tribe in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and contains a high amount of lanolin, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture that helps regulate body temperature.
Gabbeh rugs, made from this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, are characterized by their plush and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are highly durable, said to last for 100 years.
Originating from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh rugs are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the nomads' imagination often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique original. They can be displayed as art on walls, not just laid on floors.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh rug that you can cherish for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may be present.
The odor will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
