This is a common size for doormats in Japan.
It brightens up your entryway, which you pass through every day.
In addition to entryways, it's a convenient size to lay in various empty spaces such as in front of washbasins, balconies, or beside beds.
This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads. While it takes more effort to weave, it results in a more densely woven, thinner Lizebft Gabbeh than standard Gabbeh.
"Lize" means "fine" in Persian, and "baft" means "weave."

Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads who roam the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.
Gabbeh rugs, made by Iranian nomads who dye this wool with natural dyes and meticulously weave each strand by hand, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh rugs, created in a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and airy in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there's their artistic quality. Gabbeh rugs, created from the nomads' imagination, often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on the wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh that you can cherish for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dust and debris with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with water to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Points to Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving inconsistencies, and dyeing variations. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive odor from the dye used for the wool.
Please be aware that the odor will gradually dissipate with use.
