Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and a soft, pleasant texture with a high fat content to effectively regulate body temperature.

Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item.
Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool, which may result in a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool.
Please note that the odor will gradually dissipate with use.
