Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using wool dyed with natural plant dyes. The Persian variant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is rich in oil content to regulate body temperature, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture.
Gabbeh, made from such wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and pleasant feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, boasting excellent durability.
Gabbeh, created in a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing feelings of heat.
And above all, there's their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be placed on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Please Note
As these are hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving unevenness, and dyeing unevenness. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used to color the wool may be present.
This odor will gradually disappear with use, but we ask for your understanding in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed upon request

The pom-poms on the corners and in the middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pom-poms will not adversely affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
