This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads, and while it requires more effort to weave, it is a Luri-baft Gabbeh with less thickness and a tighter weave than regular Gabbeh.
Luri means "fine" and Baft means "weave" in Persian.

Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in daily life, hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture contains a high amount of lanolin for effective thermoregulation.
Gabbeh rugs, with this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven thread by thread by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting exceptional durability.
Born from a climate with significant temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And above all, there is their artistic quality. Gabbeh created from the imagination of nomads often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, original piece, with no two being alike.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel or similar cloth firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be irregularities in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique odor from the dyes used on the wool may occur.
Please note that the odor will gradually dissipate with use.
Pompoms can be removed for shipping

The pompoms attached to the corners or middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
