Characteristics of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are long-pile rugs deeply rooted in the lives of the Qashqai nomads, who weave them by hand using vegetable-dyed wool in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for surviving the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains and is rich in lanolin for effective temperature regulation, resulting in a soft and pleasant texture. Gabbeh rugs, with this wool dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their soft and pleasant feel. Daily Care

Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile. For気になる汚れがある場合：薄めた中性洗剤（毛・絹用）を固く絞ったタオルなどで表面を優しく拭き取ってください。その後、丁寧に水拭きし、洗剤を拭き取ってから風通しの良い日陰で乾かしてください。stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel firmly, and gently wipe the surface. Afterwards, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

As these are hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dye inconsistencies. Please consider these as part of the charm of a hand-woven item. Additionally, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Consequently, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present. The scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
