Characteristics of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-piled rugs hand-woven by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using vegetable-dyed wool, and deeply rooted in their daily life. The "Persian Variant" wool used in this product possesses excellent durability for survival in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture, rich in natural oils, allows for effective body temperature regulation.
These Gabbeh, woven with wool dyed using natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven strand by strand by Iranian nomads, are characterized by their soft and pleasant feel.
Gabbeh that are tightly woven are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Born from a climate with drastic temperature changes between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing a feeling of heat.
And above all, there is its artistic quality. Gabbeh created imaginatively by nomads often feature animal and plant designs, and each one is a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can, of course, be laid on the floor, but are also artistic enough to be displayed on walls.
Why not find a Gabbeh that you can cherish forever, a special Gabbeh all your own?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Afterward, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, then dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes

Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
