Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai nomads in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Valiant wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing it to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft and pleasant to the touch, containing a lot of oil to regulate body temperature well.
Gabbeh, woven by Iranian nomads with this wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last 100 years, making them extremely durable.
Gabbeh, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are also warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, so they don't feel hot.
And above all, there is their artistry. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature animal and plant designs, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dust and dirt with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
If concerned about stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
As these are hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may occur.
This scent will gradually disappear with use, but please be aware of this in advance.
Pom-poms can be removed before shipping

If you request, we can remove the pom-poms from the corners and middle of the Gabbeh before delivery.
Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
