Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are hand-woven, long-pile rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, nomadic people who live in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are made from naturally dyed wool and are deeply rooted in their way of life. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and is soft to the touch with a high fat content that helps with temperature regulation.
Gabbeh are made by nomads in Iran who dye this wool with natural dyes and hand-weave each strand carefully, resulting in a plush and pleasant texture.
Well-woven Gabbeh are said to last for 100 years, boasting excellent durability.
Born from the drastic temperature differences between day and night, Gabbeh also have the characteristic of being warm in winter and airy and cool in summer.
And, above all, their artistry is remarkable. Gabbeh, created from the imagination of nomads, often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on the wall as art.

Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom along the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, carefully wipe with water to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Additionally, Gabbeh are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique smell from the dye used on the wool.
Please note that the smell will gradually dissipate with use.
Pompoms can be removed before shipping

The pompoms attached to the corners and middle of the Gabbeh can be removed upon request before shipment.
Removing the pompoms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
