Features of Persian Hand-Woven Gabbeh

Gabbeh rugs are hand-woven by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadize in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with a long pile that is deeply rooted in their daily lives. The "Persian Valiant" wool used in this product is known for its excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant texture rich in oil to effectively regulate body temperature.
The wool is dyed with natural dyes and meticulously hand-woven by Iranian nomads, one strand at a time, resulting in a fluffy and comfortable texture.

Daily Care

Remove dust and dirt by vacuuming or sweeping along the pile.
For stubborn dirt: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.

Due to being hand-woven, there may be distortions in shape or pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-woven items.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a distinctive smell from the dyes used on the wool.
This smell will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.
