Characteristics of Persian Handwoven Gabbeh
Gabbeh rugs are rooted in the daily lives of the Qashqai nomads who hand-weave them in the Zagros Mountains of Iran, using plant-dyed wool with a long pile. The Persian Variant wool used in this product has excellent durability to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and its soft, pleasant-to-the-touch texture contains a lot of oil to regulate body temperature effectively.
These Gabbeh rugs, hand-dyed with natural dyes and meticulously woven by Iranian nomads, thread by thread, are characterized by their fluffy and comfortable feel.
Well-woven Gabbeh rugs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Gabbeh, born from a climate with drastic temperature changes between day and night, is warm in winter and airy in summer, making it feel cool even in hot weather.
And, above all, there is its artistry. Gabbeh rugs created from the nomads' imaginations often feature designs of animals and plants, with each piece being a unique, one-of-a-kind original.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
Why not find your own special Gabbeh, a rug you can enjoy for a lifetime?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water, wring out a towel tightly, and gently wipe the surface. Then, thoroughly wipe with a damp cloth to remove any detergent residue, and let it dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Important Notes
Due to being handwoven, there may be variations in shape, pattern distortion, weaving irregularities, and dyeing inconsistencies. Please understand that these are part of the charm of a handwoven product.
Also, Gabbeh rugs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, a unique scent from the wool dye may be present.
This scent will gradually dissipate with use, but please be aware of this beforehand.

Removing the pom-poms will not negatively affect the quality or durability of the Gabbeh.
