This is a common size for Japanese doormats.
It brightens up your entryway, which you pass through every day.
In addition to entryways, it's a convenient size to place in vacant spaces such as in front of washbasins or verandas, or by your bedside.
This Gabbeh is woven with fine threads. While it takes more effort to weave, it is a Luri-Baft Gabbeh, which is thinner and has a tighter weave than regular Gabbehs.
Luri means "fine" in Persian, and Baft means "weave."

Features of Persian Hand-woven Gabbeh
Gabbeh are long-pile, hand-woven rugs made by the Qashqai tribe, who nomadically herd in the Zagros Mountains of Iran. They are dyed with natural plant dyes and are deeply rooted in their daily lives. The Persian Variat wool used in this product has excellent durability, allowing sheep to survive in the harsh environment of the Zagros Mountains, and contains a lot of oil, making it soft and pleasant to the touch, ideal for regulating body temperature.
Gabbehs, woven by Iranian nomads by hand, one thread at a time, using wool dyed with natural dyes, are characterized by their soft and comfortable texture.
Well-woven Gabbehs are so durable that they are said to last for 100 years.
Gabbehs, born from a climate with extreme temperature differences between day and night, are warm in winter and well-ventilated in summer, preventing you from feeling hot.
And, of course, there's their artistry. Gabbehs created by the imagination of nomads often feature designs of animals and plants, with each one being a unique, original piece.
They can be laid on the floor or even hung on a wall as art.
How about finding your own special Gabbeh that you can use for a long time?
Daily Care
Remove dirt and dust with a vacuum cleaner or broom, following the direction of the pile.
For stubborn stains: Dilute a neutral detergent (for wool/silk) with water and gently wipe the surface with a tightly wrung towel or similar. Then, wipe thoroughly with a damp cloth to remove the detergent, and dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
Notes
Due to being hand-woven, there may be variations in shape and pattern, weaving irregularities, and dyeing irregularities. Please understand that these are part of the charm of hand-weaving.
Also, Gabbehs are woven from sheep's wool. Therefore, there may be a unique odor from the dye used on the wool.
Please note that the odor will gradually dissipate with use.
